Plenty revelations have been made since,detectives located and cordoned off a building in Mucatha in Ruaka, Kiambu County where one of the terrorist lived for four months paying Sh40,000 in monthly rent.
In a raid conducted on Wednesday, police discovered a hole inside the house in which the attacker had kept several weapons.
One of the attackers in the 14 Riverside terror incident had been living at the Guango Estate, Muchatha, coughing up more than Ksh.40,000 in monthly rent according to police reports shared with a newsroom.
The neighbours described the man as friendly though he was rarely in the house.
“He would normally say Hi to everyone but no one knew him well since he was always in and out of the house,” a witness told reporters.
According to an NTV anchor as well,the residents described the terrorist Farouk and his wife as a cheerful couple who engaged with people gracefully and were able to tip the security personnel at the main entrance once in a while.

The car which was used in the attack and abandoned near the DusitD2’s gate was recognized by neighbours who called the police following a circulation of images from the attack.
The suspected terrorists who attacked Dusit Hotel had been visiting the establishment ahead of Tuesday’s incident, multiple eye witnesses have said.
A hawker who operates near the hotel said the driver of the Toyota KCN 440E had frequented the area over the past three weeks.
The eye witness said the driver was a well-built man who gave him Sh100 to check his car.
