Arsenal are closing in on the loan signing of Denis Suarez after holding more talks with Barcelona, and the deal will include a permanent signing clause in the summer worth around £18m.
The Spanish side only want to sell Suarez on a permanent deal, but a compromise is now close according to the Express, with Unai Emery determined to add to his squad despite a lack of funds for permanent deals in January.
Emery reportedly wants to use Suarez as a winger, with Aaron Ramsey set to head to Juventus in the summer and Henrikh Mkhitaryan so far underperforming since his switch from Manchester United a year ago.
Emery is also keen on a move for Ever Banega, but Sevilla are unlikely to allow a loan deal, and would instead insist on the Gunners paying his €20m release clause.
Both targets have reportedly been identified by Emery, with head of recruitment Sven Mislintat reportedly set to leave the club and join Bayern Munich.
