According to Mutahi, the political rants from Kikuyu community leaders was a sign of panic over their fate in leadership after the 2022 elections given they have no strong candidate to take over from Uhuru.

“To the Kikuyus, 2022 elections is not an issue, to them 2022 marks the end of an empire, the GEMA (Gikuyu, Embu, Meru Association) empire which was started in 1963 and was rudely interrupted by former president Moi before it was continued by Kibaki and now Uhuru,” said Mutahi in his latest review of politics.

“The empire is coming to an end in 2022 and the earliest another Kikuyu can become president is 30 years later, 2052, and this is scary to the Kikuyu capitalists and nobility of the GEMA empire,” he added.

However, Mutahi opines the right decision for the Kikuyu community was to support the Deputy President William Ruto and if they fail to back up his 2022 presidential bid, then, there shall be a rift in the GEMA nation.
