Why Fabregas chose to join Henry at Monaco

Cesc Fabregas says he joined AS Monaco because it is a team with young players and young coach.

Fabregas ended his four and a half year spell at Chelsea, a move he said he was excited about the club’s project. The Spaniard underwent a medical in the south of France on Friday where he signed a three-and-a-half year deal.

“It is a great pleasure to join AS Monaco, a new project for me. The group is of quality with young players and a young coach,” he said.

“I’m here to help the team, I’m looking forward to starting, we have a great match to play in Marseille on Sunday. I am very excited,” he added.
