Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri could hand another start to Callum Hudson-Odoi when the Blues return to Premier League action against Newcastle this weekend.

The teenager has impressed in recent weeks but is attracting attention from Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga giants having tabled an offer of £35million.

Hudson-Odoi had been expected to leave in January due to a lack of game time but has started Chelsea’s last two matches – a 2-0 FA Cup win over Nottingham Forest followed by the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg defeat to Tottenham.

The 18-year-old is yet to start a Premier League match for the Blues and has only made one top flight appearance this season, but that could be about to change with Sarri keen to keep hold of the youngster. Willian has endured a disappointing season so far and looks most likely to drop out of the starting XI to accomodate Hudson-Odoi on the left-wing.

Pedro is back from injury and should line up on the right flank if Eden Hazard is once again deployed as a ‘false nine’.

The Belgian star started up front against Spurs on Tuesday with Alvaro Morata ruled out due to a hamstring injury and could do so once more, although Olivier Giroud is available.

Meanwhile, Cesc Fabregas has signed a three-year deal to join Monaco in the summer but is looking to leave this month if the Blues can find a replacement.

Therefore, the Spaniard is unlikely to feature against Newcastle while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is sidelined with a back injury.

Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley will compete for the final midfield spot alongside Jorginho and N’Golo Kante.

In defence, David Luiz should return in place of Andreas Christensen after the Dane played 90 minutes against Tottenham.

Chelsea are currently fourth in the Premier League but a victory would close the gap on third-place Spurs to a single point, with Mauricio Pochettino’s men not playing until Sunday.
