How CS Wamalwa meeting turned into a wrestle ring in Baringo

The battle of superiority among top leaders has always taken center stage in terms who should speak before who. Sometimes it even ends up being so dirty exposing their wild sides. This is what happened in Baringo.

In a meeting attended Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, the fight started after Tiaty MP William Kamket and his Baringo South counterpart Charles Kamuren started fighting over who should speak first and invite the other both claiming that Mukutani location belongs in their constituency.

The drama unfolded further when Kamket started protesting the choice of the master of ceremony who he said came from the minority Ilchamus community instead of a chief from the Pokot community.

Kamket further insisted that Mukutani location was in his constituency therefore giving him an upper hand and hence should be the to invite Kamuren to speak.

Baringo Governor Stanley Kiptis tried to intervene but Kamket became adamant and insisted on inviting Kamuren claiming Mukutani location was in Tiaty.

Kamuren then went on stage and told off Kamket saying that he should stop the boundary dispute and instead let the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Comission (IEBC) define it for them.

This war of words saw the meeting end prematurely.

The leaders had gone to the area to take iron sheets and open closed schools in the area.
