Kenyan Gospel Artist Daddy Owen has today  joined in the conversation to campaign for the playing of Kenyan music.

The Singer used a hilarious analogy of a husband wife situation to drive his point home.

According to Daddy Owen, he feels like the media, music industry topic  is like a husband who is on a spree out there hitting on other people’s wives.

The husband does this, not realizing that his wife is very beautiful as well and all it takes is he needs to maintain her.

He says that maintaining this wife can make her better than the husband admiring features of other women.

If the husband puts that effort, Daddy Owen believes that there is a possibility of him realizing that he has a wonder woman in his home.

This is in regard to the complaints that more foreign music gets airplay instead of Kenyan music.

The same way, the media should maintain their own to build Kenyan music, he says.

Daddy Owen explains that this change will not come from the efforts of one party but he calls upon Fans,Dj’s event organizers and all parties to take responsibility.

There are Kenyan artist who sing well and have good lyrics… most gospel artist are good… secular just a handful @sautisol @realshinski@otilebrown @thekingkaka@akotheekenya. Most secular music in Kenya is trash no wonder some djs struggle to play them… some are plain morally disgusting. #kenyanartistsplease do our ears a favour and pull up your socks…. take Kenya back to days of Esir, kalamashaka, @wyredalovechild @nazizihirji@lovylongomba @namelesskenya we never got tired. These days is lamba lolo and dandia mat who will listen to such when @officialalikiba is serenading me….
