Valencia appear to be interested in West Ham striker Javier Hernandez – but a deal is likely to hinge on whether the Spanish club can offload Michy Batshuayi.

Chelsea striker Batshuayi has failed to impress in Spain since moving on loan and reports have suggested that Valencia would like to terminate the season-long deal if another club can be found for him during the approaching transfer window.

Crystal Palace have reportedly turned down the chance to take the Belgian on loan, instead working on a deal to sign former Chelsea forward Dominic Solanke on loan from Liverpool.

Several other clubs are aware of Batshuayi’s potential availability but, as it stands, he will be staying with Valencia.

If that changes, it could pave the way for West Ham to part with former Manchester United man Javier Hernandez, commonly known as Chicharito.
