A “child eater” church elder has been sentenced to life in prison by Eldoret court after he was found guilty of defiling a 10-year-old girl.
The court was told that Starico Madegwa, 53, committed the act on March 28, three years ago.
During the hearing, the victim told the court how the church elder told his children to go outside but asked her to remain behind.
She said it is at this point that he defiled her.
Eldoret Magistrate Stella Telewa ruled that there was enough evidence before court to show that the suspect committed the offense.
The church elder was given 14 days to appeal the ruling.
