Its amazing how much strength and hope love can carry. A man has exercise resilience in finding their lost son despite the demise of the loss of his wife leaving him to the fight alone.

It has been almost six years after court laid to rest a paternity case in which a couple claimed the late George Saitoti’s son is their biological son kidnapped at birth.

Sebastian Maina Njungu is now asking the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji and the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to revisit the matter.

Speaking during a press conference on Sunday, December 23, Njungu asked police to exhume Saitoti’s body for DNA to be conducted to establish that Zachary Musengi is his son.

“My third born child was kidnapped and after 24 years, I found the boy at the late Saitoti’s home. The boy with Afro hair is my third born boy..When he was stolen they changed his name,” said almost teary Ngunju.

He claimed to have travelled to Harare, Zimbabwe and the ICC in Tanzania, consulting with Human Rights Organisations on how to best handle the case.

The court of appeal had in 2017 stopped the proceeding of the case stating it lacked merit. Ngunju who has now put faith in the current leadership of the DPP and DCI boss George Kinoti is demanding answers on the paternity of now 33-year-old Musengi.

“The first thing am requesting is to do a DNA test before the case proceeds, I want the late Saitoti’s body to be exhumed and my late wife whom am also ready to exhume together with Saitoti’s wife,” he said.

He alleges that Musengi was kidnapped from their Subukia home over 20 years ago at birth and his name changed from Stephen Wachira Maina.

Ngunju first appeared publicly in 2012 together with his late wife Elizabeth Maina seeking to be allowed to institute a private prosecution against the late Saitoti’s wife, Margaret.

According to Ngunju, Wachira was born in 1985 and he was hidden in London while him together with the wife looked for him.
