Tanzania’s Bongo musician Ommy Dimpoz was flown to Germany after his health condition worsened.
According to his father Mr Faraji Nyembo, his son’s condition has been improving after he underwent a throat surgery in South Africa in April this year, however, it worsened recently, leading Ommy to seek further medical attention in Germany.
Mr Nyembo confirmed that Ommy is indeed in Germany for advance treatment.He further said that his son’s condition is worsening but hope he will be well.
Ommy Dimpoz admission in the high dependency unit at Milpark Hospital in Johannesburg, broke out in August this year, when different Tanzanian celebrities claimed that the musician needed prayers, since he was “gravely ill in the ICU”.
His manager Seven Mosha, said at the time that the he was doing fine, and responding well to treatment.
He later posted a video online on his Instagram page, and revealed that he had undergone a “major surgical operation”, and that he hoped all would go well.
“I passed through a difficult period after undergoing a major surgical procedure. I was hospitalised for 15 days after the surgical operation. I hope I will come back stronger. Currently, I am on bed rest. I thank everyone who sent me get-well-soon messages, and those who prayed for me. I believe everything will be fine,” he said in the video clip.
