DP Ruto lands in Lamu with bags of goodies and residents can’t keep calm

The Deputy President William Ruto’s latest visit has landed him in Lamu. As obvious the Lamu people are happy for his visit because the Deputy President never visits a place empty handed.

The development agenda has landed him in Lamu where he was received by the local leaders from the region. Governor Fahim Yassin Twaha led the leaders to welcome the DP.

The Deputy President has officially opened Pate Girls School in Lamu East. This is among the efforts the government is laying to increase the access of education to the girl child in the region which is marginalized at the moment.

Speaking during the launch , The Deputy President has insisted on children having an equal access to education. Mr Ruto has also said that this is the tool that is relevant in anchoring the national development.

“Education increases literacy; boosts earnings, enhances jobs prospects and creates a resilient economy,” DP Ruto added.

Deputy President is expected to continue with launching a number of projects in the region. He is also expected to be among the guest who will attend the burial ceremony of the former Kilifi Deputy Governor Kenneth Kamto.
