Man allegedly killed by over-speeding vehicle

 

 

A man was allegedly killed by a drunk over speeding driver yesterday.

A lady online mourned the death of his brother saying that the she was hurt that she will never see his brother again.

Just a couple days ago, there were news that the alcoblow would be introduced even during the day as the festive season comes with a lot of celebrations and many find themselves.

December being a festive season, NTSA says that in this period it is usually characterized by high volume of traffic as people travel to various destinations for the festivities.

It also coincides with the period when most parts of the country are experiencing heavy rains presenting potentially dangerous conditions for road users.

To address rising road traffic crashes in the country, the government launched enhanced enforcement in November 2018.

Since commencement of the exercise, approximately two hundred and ten (210) driver licenses have been suspended.

NTSA added that these drivers, charged with various offences relating to violation of traffic rules and regulations will be required to undergo Refresher Training and re-testing before being allowed to drive again.

They also declared their plan to intensify efforts to wipe out all Drivers failing to observe traffic laws by revoking their licenses.

Drivers and Kenyans in general have been urged to take caution during this period to ensure that safety on the roads is maintained.
