‘Oh No!’ Klopp confirms massive injury setback for Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Liverpool will be without their two main right-backs against Manchester United.

Liverpool face United on Sunday hoping to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League.

United are the only team Klopp has faced in the Premier League without ever beating, and he must try and change that without the help of either Joe Gomez or Trent Alexander-Arnold at the weekend.

The German confirmed that Alexander-Arnold would be joining Gomez and fellow defender Joel Matip on the sidelines at Anfield after suffering a “knock” late on against Napoli in midweek.

“It’s our situation,” he said when asked if Liverpool are in the midst of an injury crisis. “Crisis is only a crisis if you feel it.

“Trent is not as serious as the other two boys, but it’s not top-class news!

“It was unlucky as well, like with Joel. It was in the last seconds of the game.

“It’s my job to find a solution for it.”

Klopp may have to reassess January transfer plans after defensive injury crisis.
