Leroy Sane gives Manchester City contract update

Leroy Sane made the move to Manchester City in August of 2016 from Schalke for a fee of around £45 million.

Since joining Man City, Sane has made 105 appearances for them, in which he has scored 29 and assisted 34.

The German has helped guide Man City to a Premier League title, a League Cup and the Community Shield.

The 22-year-old also won the PFA Young Player of the Year Award for the 2017/18 season.

Sane would play 32 league games, scoring 10 and assisting 15 in his award-winning season for Manchester City.

After a slightly slow start to the 2018/19 season, Sane is once again on top form for City.

The winger has played 14, scored six and assisted six for Manchester City in the Premier League this season.

Manchester City did lose their first game of the season this past Saturday vs Chelsea.

They will be looking to put that right in their Champions League tie vs Hoffenheim on Wednesday.

Ahead of the UCL clash, Sane has been speaking to the media about a number of things, including signing a new deal with Manchester City.

When Sane was asked about a new contract, he replied:

“I’ve said from the beginning I’m really happy here. The coach and players are amazing, I feel at home here. Of course it is possible.”
