The Conference will bring together over 2,000 Stakeholders including policy makers from across the globe. Among other key agendas, the Conference will provide a platform for sharing experiences and best practices in the management of alcohol and drug abuse.

The conference kicked off today at KICC, Nairobi and shows efforts by the Government to address the demand and supply drugs in conformity with international conventions on drug control.

Matiangi has today reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and abuse in the country.

Speaking during the conference, the CS exuded confidence that cooperation between the National Police Service & customs authorities will lead to more arrests of traffickers and confiscation of their assets.

“We need to come up with effective methods of drug and substance abuse prevention mechanisms. Our youth are very clever and prone to drug and alcohol abuse.” he added

The conference is themed  Think globally Acting locally and is open for all Kenyans willing to attend.

From my opinion this will be offer a chance to network, platform to share experiences equally as much as  pushing the NACADA agenda forward.
