Maurizio Sarri watched his Chelsea side produce a stunning performance to beat Manchester City 2-0 last night, but the Blues boss will certainly not want to let up in his quest for Premier League glory and he is sure to be looking to do business when the January transfer window opens in a few weeks.

While one of his key jobs will be to keep Eden Hazard on the books he could be willing to let another notable midfielder depart Stamford Bridge, but that will only be if Sarri is able to lure a replacement to the club.

Spanish World Cup winner Cesc Fabregas has struggled to secure regular game time under Sarri with Mateo Kovavic, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Ross Barkley often handed the central midfield berths, and Sarri is happy to let Fabregas leave, but that will only be if he can lure Barcelona sensation Denis Suarez to the club.

According to Calciomercato, AC Milan are looking to win the race for Fabregas’ signature and they could face a battle with La Liga side Valencia, who are looking to bolster their midfield options, but while Sarri feels that the 2010 World Cup hero will only be a bit-part player for the remainder of the season he is not willing to let him go without filling the void.

Suarez has failed to feature for Barcelona on several occasions and it’s reported that the Spanish giants are happy to let him leave to find regular football, so that could open the door for Sarri to sign up the 24-year-old, but there’s also reports Arsenal could look to entice the exciting talent to the capital.

So, while there’s a lot of ifs, buts and maybes, Fabregas’ time at the Bridge could be up soon, but only if Suarez makes the switch to the former Premier League champions
