Thieves hiding in rooftop break and steal money at Thika Road mall

Security of shoppers at the Thika Road mall has come under sharp scrutiny after one of them had their car broken into and money stolen. The shopper, Eric Muiruri Ndichu, who’s vehicle was parked at the roof top parking alleges that unkown people broke into his range rover and made away with ksh. 300, 000 shillings which he had just withdrawn from a bank within the mall. Muiruri now says he will sue the management of the mall as there was no particular sign that expressly indicated that vehicles are parked at owners risk.

The police asked Thika Road Mall security personnel to produce the CCTV footage that had captured the incident in their parking lot.

Mr. Eric Ndichu went to his social media pages to report how he lost the money shortly after withdrawing the money from the bank.

The alleged criminals were reportedly in a group of five to four men and one woman ̵
