President Kenyatta has today led Kenyans in cheering Kenya’s King of athlete; Eliud Kipchoge. This comes after Kipchoge emerged winner in the International Association of Athletics Federations competition as the Male athlete of the year.
It is indeed a good year for the man Eliud Kipchoge as he was named Kenya’s UN person of the year earlier in October.
Kenya is proud of a athlete who has had back to back achievements and is flying the national flag higher in the athlete sector.
He has shown a sense of discipline, commitment and is one of key role models in the country.
President Kenyatta took pride in the winning of the athlete as he noted that his supremacy in the athlete world has made him one of the greatest icons and ensured that Kenya retains its reputation as a world leader in athletes.
Kenyan celebrated athlete and London Marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge was competing for this award with his his rivals; Timothy Cheruiyot and Emmanuel Korir among other nominees from different parts of the globe.
Kipchoge sets yet another record; he has bagged three awards towards the end of the year from breaking the record in the Berlin marathon to more winning.
The athlete has cemented his status as a world star and Kenyans are impressed by his enthusiasm ad focus in the athlete world.
