If the morning hustle was anything to go by, then a lot of Nairobians who use public service vehicles as their main means of transport are dreading the commute back home.
After a long day’s work, a day in class or even the typical grind, residents of Nairobi county have been forced to go through the entire long distance walk again following the matatu CBD ban from the county government.
Places like Ngara and Globe have been known as some of the most notorious places and havens for pick pockets. It’s definitely terrifying to be walking around these areas at night especially with the multitudes.

The video posted on the Capital FM Twitter account shows the current situation in Ngara and how difficult it is for commuters to locate the vehicles plying their routes.
In the notice issued by the county government last week, all termini were declared null and void with others introduced, that took effect today.
Matatus from Uhuru Highway, Waiyaki Way, Kiambu, Thika Road, Kipande Road and Limuru Road were directed to pick and drop passengers at Fig Tree in Ngara while all high capacity buses from upcountry are now stationed at Machakos Country bus.
PSVs using Mombasa Road and Lang’ata Road routes will now drop and pick passengers at Hakati terminus while those from Jogoo Road will terminate at Muthurwa. All matatus plying the Ngong Road route are expected to stop at Railways.
