Shameful! Here is what Spurs fan did Arsenal star

A Spurs fan was arrested on Sunday after hurling a banana skin towards Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during their feisty North London derby which Arsenal won 4-2 at the Emirates.

According to The Telegraph, the fan launched the banana peel at the Gabon striker after he netted a 10th-minute penalty to give Arsenal the lead.

“Notwithstanding the deep-rooted Arsenal-Tottenham rivalry, I hope every Spurs fan can agree that the person who threw a banana at Aubameyang today is a racist scumbag who shames your club & should be banned for life. I’d feel that way if an Arsenal fan did it to a Spurs player,” Paul Merson tweeted

A Spurs spokesman later said in a statement: “Behavior such as this is completely unacceptable and the supporter in question will be issued with a ban.”

Two Arsenal fans who lit smoke canisters in the second half of the hotly contested encounter were also arrested.

A brace from Aubameyang and a goal each from Alexandre Lacazette and Lucas Torreira ensured the gunners stretched their unbeaten run to 19 games in all competitions and are now fourth in the Premier League, ahead of Tottenham on goal difference.
