Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has not been a cup of tea for many, but yester-night he raised two fundamental points which made many believe that the guy has a working brain after all.
The lawmaker who speaking during an interview with Citizen TV’s Jeff Koinange made a few strong points on matters concerning the gender bill debate and the maize matters.
Kuria said it is a high time maize farmers should stop the nonsense of demanding preset prices for their corn from the government.
According to him, the government did not enter in to any contract with the said farmers to plant maize.
Moses Kuria: Some bad behavior has cropped in our maize farmers. We have to tell each other the truth. Our strategic reserve needs to bring in produce from anywhere, where the cost makes sense pic.twitter.com/ETaWI3B2yQ

Moses Kuria says the government did not write you a letter to plant for them maize so that you would say there’s a breach of contract. He adds that farmers should think of making there produce competitive not threatening government.

“In Kalamba Plateau, every year we have mango glut and whenever the prices are very low or no one buys them, we eat, eat, eat and eat until our skins turn orange or we start smelling like a Delmonte factory pulp crushing machine.”
On the Gender Bill, Kuria believes is horse manure. He argues that women should fight for political space with men equally. After all, they are the majority voters.
Moses Kuria: If the vote was put to question today, only 37 members would have voted ‘Yes’ including women. These individuals are politicians and they listen to their constituents at the grass root #JKLive
