Isaac Ruto reconciles with William Ruto, pledges to unite him with rebel Rift Valley MPs

Wow,the spirit of handshakes id taking over. Former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has vowed to reunite Deputy President William Ruto with three Jubilee MPs he fell out with over maize farmers’ plight. The Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party leader joined hands with National Super Alliance (NASA) ahead of the 2017 General Election and strongly campaigned against the DP but mended fences after losing his lucrative seat.

Speaking during at Siongiroi Primary school in Bomet county when the DP presided over a fundraising event for African Gospel Church, Isaac said the bad blood between the four politicians would result to disjointing of the Rift Valley voters’ bloc.

Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny, Alfred Keter of Nandi Hills and Silas Tiren of Moiben have been recently blaming the DP for the maize scandal at National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) occasioning to rebuttal from William’s loyalists. “It is time to desist from politics of disunity and propaganda amongst ourselves. I will invite the three MPs to talk about this situation.

I am very optimistic we will settle the stalemate once and for all,” Isaac said. Isaac prevailed on the Jubilee legislators with a contrary opinion to the DP’s to stop issuing ultimatums and opt for an amicable way of settling issues affecting the voters.

“I want to appeal to leaders in our community to embrace dialogue and bring issues on the table so that we can find an amicable solution,” said Isaac. His sentiments were echoed by Konoin MP Brighton Yegon who said it was a critical time for all Kalenjin MPs to support Ruto for the benefit of the local’s and community’s future political position.

“I urge the DP to convene a meeting for all Kealenjin leader soon to enable us discuss political and development issues important for the growth of our nation,” Yegon said. During the event William revealed they had held several meetings with his nemesis Isaac and agreed to bury hatchet.

The DP angrily hit out at the three politicians saying they were disguising their political interests in farmers’ plight saying he would not tolerate baseless accusations.
