Speaking during a meeting with Ford Kenya party officials on Sunday, Wetangula accused the Raila Odinga-led Orange party of excluding the other three NASA affiliate parties in the sharing of funds allocated to the opposition.
“ODM is appropriating all the political parties funds being paid from the exchequer to the exclusion of ANC, Wiper and Ford Kenya,” said Wetangula.

He added that Ford-Kenya will be enjoining the Musalia Mudavadi-led ANC Party in the case. The NASA affiliate parties — ODM, Wiper, Ford-Kenya and Amani National Congress (ANC) — have in the recent past been feuding over sharing of funds. On one hand, the ODM insists that it is entitled to the lion’s share since it has more members of parliament and contributed more votes to the coalition, while on the other hand, the other parties want equity in the sharing of funds, saying they are key players in NASA.

The ANC party has in the past accused ODM leader Raila Odinga of making unilateral decisions and abandoning the opposition course following the March 9 peace agreement with President Uhuru Kenyatta. On Sunday, Mudavadi reiterated that he will remain in the opposition and be the man to put the government in check, after Mr. Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka agreed to work with President Kenyatta.
