The rally, taking place in Busiika, attracted huge numbers of fans who are seen scampering for safety as the car skids out of control.

Footage appears to show the driver struggle to control the car as it hit a bump and flew out of control to the right of a tree.

There appeared to be no safeguards in place to stop the vehicle coming off the track and ploughing into the people who lined the race track.

Dozens of people ran out of the way as the car came hurtling towards them but many stood little chance of escaping its trajectory as it hurtled towards them at speed.
