Davido rocks Nairobi stage and wins big at AFRIMA awards

 

Kenyans were last night treated to an electrifying performance by Nigerian start, Davido and by word on the street, this was one concert Nairobians will live to remember.

Before Davido took over the stage, local artistes among them Madtraxx, Kristoff, Mejja, Kid Kora and P-Unit entertained the crowd. His very good friend E Cool also hyped the the crowd giving them a tease of his great music.

 

 

The time came and the BET winner graced the stage in a green hat, red Givenchy jacket, black jeans, a black T-shirt, black jeans and black sneakers.

 

 

He kicked of his performance chronologically with music songs from back in the day to his current and latest hit songs. The singer who arrived in the country a few minutes to midnight performed his biggest tunes like Assurance, If, Gobe, Aye, Dami Duro and Fall among others.

Fans sang along to all his songs word for word during the entire electric performance.

 

Davido's 30 billion concert

 

While in Nairobi, Davido emerged the biggest winner at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2018 held in Accra, Ghana on Saturday. The Nigerian star bagged the awards for: Artist of the Year award, Best Male Artiste in Western Africa and Song of the Year for his hit jam FIA.

Davido’s performance in Nairobi was part of his 30 Billion World Tour was coined after his 2017 hit single “If”, that had the catchy phrase ‘30 billion for your account’.

The concert at Uhuru Gardens marked a spectacular final leg of the World Tour which has seen the award winning artiste tour more than 30 countries.
