Are our children turning into sex animals? Reports are on the rise and it seems like sex is becoming their daily bread.  Even worrying that it could be unprotected sex but even so minors engaging in sex is quite controversial and parents need to up their game in giving the age appropriate sex talk.

After the ifikie wazazi exposee, I had almost believed that the youth had learnt a lesson; but the ‘Sex demon’ or maybe let us simply call it the peer pressure is still deep withing and underneath the skin of our children and the youth.

Earlier in April, Kenyans online launched a campaign to publicly shame youngsters who post nasty pictures on social media.

The aim was to share the nasty pictures widely enough on social media until they reach to the parents, guardians or relatives of the offending youngsters.

After the  incident, there was an uproar ad threats that those who will be found in such acts will face the law and be disciplined. This seems to have been a wave that simply passed by.

A couple day ago, I came across a tweet by a lady;Jackie Lumbasi stating that  our children are having sex, and therefore we should not shy away from talking to them about sexuality. “They need protection from STIs, early pregnancy etc.” reads tweet in part.

Stating an example, she says that in Bungoma County, a 14 year old girl gave birth to triplets and the father of the children is only 13 years old. This is both shock and disappointment from the reactions that followed.

On the news today, the nation reports that police bust student sex party in Bomet county and managed to  arrest 30 KCSE candidates over underage drinking.

Not good news having that these are candidates who just completed their national examinations yet the level of indiscipline is  terrifying.

In another incident, a video of students  throwing abuses to CS Amina and Matiangi after the exams went viral and this proves that the level of disrespect in moving to heights that will be difficult to manage if no action is taken.

What measures do you think should be put in place to deal with indiscipline students/youth?
