Brazillian legend Cafu picks the best right backs in the World right now

Cafu has revealed his pick for the three best right-backs in the world – and has snubbed Manchester City defender Kyle Walker. Brazil legend Cafu had a remarkable career in which he won the World Cup twice as well as the Champions League with AC Milan in 2007.

He’s regarded as one of the world’s greatest ever right-backs and is therefore well placed to give his opinion on the best in the business today.

Speaking to Mirror Football, Cafu said: “At the moment, Daniel Alves, Dani Carvajal and Danilo are in my opinion the best right-back players. Among them, Daniel Alves is probably the one with the style of play most similar to mine.”

Interestingly Cafu opted to overlook Walker, who is a first-team regular at Manchester City, having featured 14 times for the Premier League leaders in all competitions this season.

Danilo on the other hand, who also plays for Pep Guardiola’s Citizens, has featured just three times this term – twice in the Carabao Cup in wins over Oxford and Fulham and once in the Champions League in the 6-0 demolition of Shakhtar Donetsk.

On his greatest ever team-mate he said: “There are many but if I had to pick one, it would be Ronaldinho Gaucho.”

While on the best opponent he ever faced, he added: “Zinedine Zidane. He was absolutely fantastic.”

Cafu was speaking ahead of The EE Wembley Cup and added: “I think my team has very good chances of winning….for sure, I am going there to win it! Hope to see you all there on Sunday at Wembley.”
