VIDEO: How passengers ‘arrested’ a police officer

With the current state of the country, citizens should have the mandate to arrest police men. Ironic right? Who should be arresting the other if they are both ‘criminals’?

Would describe it as greed or simply misuse of power when a police officer subjects citizens to such treatment. In the name of maintaining peace or order? What is the excuse they give to take bribe?

In some cases, innocent Kenyans fall in the hands of rogue police officers and when there have no power to defend yourself the harass you in very shameful ways. From bribe to spending a couple hours behind bars.

Policemen are expected to protect the citizens yet they eat deep into their pockets.

Earlier yesterday, a policeman got the taste of his own medicine after angry Kenyans descended on him for allegedly taking bribes.

Many have been complaining that police officers especially the traffic police have been taking advantage of them ever since the reinstating of the Michuki rules.

Police have always been known for defending themselves and easily getting away with these bribe cases.. but there is no escape when you are caught live on camera and a  group of passengers choose not to  spare you.

Perhaps if policemen could  have to face harsh consequences for taking bribes, these cases would be unheard of. Not only in taking bribe any police officer who is found culpable of wrongdoings should equally be charged. This is where we say that no one is above the law.
