Whose to say during her glory days that they could predict the turn of events in the life of boxing superstar Conjestina Achieng that flew the Kenyan flag several times.

The star has had a couple of set backs especially with her health that has seen her in need of help from the public to raise her back to her feet again.

Currently she is receiving treatment once again.In a telephone interview with a Kenyan writer, the sports lady has revealed that she is doing great!

Unaendelea aje?” He inquired in their conversation.“Niko salama kabisa, namshukuru Mungu”.After which the which the writer paused in awe.

“Mbona umenyamaza?” she asked.As if she could read the writer’s mind after revealing she was okay, she added “Ama unashangaa kuwa niko mzima? Usishtuke, niko poa, mtu yangu!”

She proceeded to narrate that her journey at the rehabilitation centre, thus far, is great.

“Nina matumaini kuwa afya yangu itaimarika, and I will get back to serving the community,” she said.

“Niko tu sawa, niko na Hashim hapa. I had asked him to bring me pizza, but he hasn’t. I am craving for pizza,” she cried.

Hashim in response to why he hasn’t granted Conje’s wish revealed that the ex-boxer’s diet is, to a great extent, controlled by the medics at the rehab centre, and thats was why he couldn’t grant her that wish.

Earlier on Tuesday the writer also talked with NACADA Board member Vincent Muasya, alias Chipukeezy told him that Ms Achieng’ was responding well to treatment.

“She is in a good rehabilitation centre, which has been inspected several times and accredited by the National Authority For The Campaign Against Alcohol And Drug Abuse (NACADA).

“A multidisciplinary team is offering her quality and comprehensive care. I would say she is responding well to treatment, though she has a long way to go. According to the doctors attending to her, Conjestina’s current condition is attributed to mental instability. She is, however, showing every sign of improving. The ex-boxer is enrolled to the facility for one year,” Chipukeezy told me on phone at 1:26pm Tuesday, the reporter reveals.
