‘Mheshimiwa fisi? ‘Yes, it is indeed ‘mheshimiwa fisi’ as Kenyans on twitter have decided to call them, but one can ask, why just the term mheshimiwa fisi? Greedy for power, money and luxury has seen Kenyan Members of parliament burn in hot internet fire from Kenyans.
When it comes to robbing us, they are all in one accord, but when it comes to dealing with matters that are relevant to our well-being, then it is everyone for themselves and God for us all. Aren’t they now “waheshimiwa fisi?”
In their latest demand, the honourable Members of Parliament now want to be served tea by five-star catering staff at their beck and call as they recline in their seats, supervised by a public health specialist.
Kenyan MPs’ take home about 1.2 million per month. They are among the best paid in the world even though they represent a mostly impoverished electorate but still our honourable members want some more. Did we elect empty stomachs to the parliament?
Well, Kenyans on twitter on Wednesday morning were up to them, and that is when a well suited hashtag, #MheshimiwaFisi was formed. Under the hashtag, Kenyans expressed their disappointment in their parliament representatives for failing to represent them, but instead represent their stomachs.
The Kenyan Wagebill is already high, isn’t it? This is just because of the over representation we are having but are we even represented?
Hyena is an animal well known for its greed, and Kenyans had to well equate the animals to the Kenyan greedy MPs with well hyena versioned MPs’ images flocking the internet.
Moses Kuria, Cate Waruguru, John Waluke, Millie Odhiambo are among the fisi version of an MP whom Kenyans really expressed their disappointments in.
Idiots like @HonMoses_Kuria @KIMANIICHUNGWAH failed to support the president but opted to butty lick The Deputy president in the name of “kitu kidogo”..you are all a disgrace to mt kenya people.. And now you are inthe front line asking for more.#MheshimiwaFisi
