Kenya, Mozambique have today strengthened ties following the meeting between the Presidents in the State House, Nairobi
The main focus of their meeting being on the blue economy among other key agendas. Kenyatta revealed that the meeting was intentional particularly for boosting trade as well as relations.
Kenya and Mozambique today agreed and signed an appropriate Visa waiver framework. According to President Kenyatta, this is the right step towards facilitating people to people contact, as well as enhancing trade between our two nations.
“We seek to bolster trade between our two countries, and to build capacity in developing our Blue Economy so as to unlock the great potential in our maritime resources. These efforts will create wealth and more jobs for both our nations
Kenya cherishes the strong bond of friendship & mutual cooperation that we’ve maintained with Mozambique over the years. President @FNyusi’s visit will infuse additional momentum in our relations following my State Visit to Mozambique earlier in the year” He said
Kenyatta welcomed President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi and H.E. First Lady Isaura Nyusi to Kenya noting that Kenya and Mozambique share unique relations which he hopes to continue nurturing & strengthening.
The Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi was today received at JKIA in honour of President Kenyatta’s invitation to the State. President Nyusi was accompanied by a delegation with several Ministers.
