It seems former Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr is not done with the club and is about to come back and pile more woes on the wounded KPL giants.

Speculation is rife that the coach who completed a move to South Africa side Black Leopards last evening has earmarked a move for Gor mercurial play-maker Francis Kahata and fullback Philemon Otieono as his first transfer targets.

Gor Mahia have said that they are willing to let go the two players“if the right offer comes along”.

Ronald Ngala, club assistant secretary general said: “That’s very normal with our former coaches (trying to sign our players). It’s just like what happened when Ze Maria left and recommended to Tirana KF to sign Musa Mohammed and Muguna.

“It’s understandable that when a coach has had a successful season with the team he will want to take the best players with him, but we are yet to get official communication from them,” said Ngala .

Kahata’s impressive form with K’Ogalo has made him the object of great admiration attracting the interest of among others Tanzania giants Simba SC, and Ngala opines they won’s stand in the way of a move if a sweetened offer is on the cards.

“Kahata has a contract with Gor Mahia until June next year and as long as the right procedure is followed to acquire the play, we are ready to listen to the offers,”he added.

The 17-time Kenya Premier League champions are yet to replace the departed Kerr; but Ngala says the club is not in hurry to find a replacement.

“We have not made any decision in regards to appointing a new coach. Zico is in charge of the team and when we feel he needs someone to assist him we will definitely let our fans know.”
