Mourinho set for more centre-half frustration as Chelsea prepare to trigger £40m clause

Are Chelsea planing to buy back their star who exited the club back i the 2o17 premier league summer? Well, this might be one of the plans by the Maurizio Sarri led team to carry the premier league title.

According to the reports, Chelsea are ready to thwart Manchester United’s hopes of signing a Bournemouth star by triggering a buy-back clause.

Jose Mourinho is expected to make a January move for a new centre-back, having missed out on a number of targets over the summer, and Nathan Ake is said to be on his radar.

The Dutch star has been in excellent position for this season as Eddie Howe’s men have made an impressive start to the new campaign.

Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld, Leicester star Harry Maguire and Bayern’s Jerome Boateng were all targeted over the summer but Mourinho was unable to complete a deal for any of them and has been growing frustrated with his current defensive options ever since.

However, a report from The Express states that Chelsea are ready to thwart United’s hopes and trigger the £40 million buy-back option in his deal.

Ake left Stamford Bridge on a permanent basis in the summer of 2017 in a £20million deal, and it was even suggested earlier in the month that Jose Mourinho feared Chelsea would buy him back.

The Manchester Evening News claims that there are doubts over a potential Old Trafford switch with Ake still regarded as being somewhat reckless and that Mourinho is worried about his naivety.
