Transfer: Manchester United defender headed to Arsenal as De Gea plans exit

Eric Bailly might be heading to Arsenal after growing frustrated at Manchester United while Bayern Munich is keeping a close eye on departing Aaron Ramsey. Here are the latest collections of transfer rumours doing the rounds.

Bundesliga giants have emerged favourites to sign Aaron Ramsey who is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of this season. Ramsey will leave Emirates after a ten-year stint and Bayern are reportedly eager to bring the midfielder to Allianz Arena.

Manchester United is interested in signing Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly as their search for a centre-back intensifies. Jose Mourinho made it clear before the season that he wanted his backline reinforced but his wishes were not granted. A poor start to the current season may sway the Man United hierarchy to swing into action and sign Koulibaly.

After falling down the pecking order to Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof at Old Trafford, Eric Bailly is now rumoured to be weighing his exit options from Old Trafford.Destination? Arsenal. Arsenal’s London Rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in signing the Ivory Coast defender but the Gunners seems to be his likely destination should things not change Under Mourinho. Unai Emery is also desperate to improve his defensive unit and Bailly may prove to a worthy addition.

Stiff competition in Liverpool’s midfield may just push Brazilian Fabinho out just after a season at Anfield. Jurgen Klopp has various options in Giorgino Wijnaldum, Naby Keita, captain Jordan Henderson and James Milner and lack of playtime could see Fabinho leave for AC Milan in January. The 25-year old has made three starts for league games for Liverpool but that has been down to Keita’s injury.

With David de Gea’s contract nearly almost running out, Manchester United have identified Jordan Pickford as his possible replacement. The Spaniard runs out his contract in 2019 and there is an option of a one-year extension but Man United have identified the English keeper as a long-term replacement. Pickford has stood out for Everton and England and his performances might have lured United to consider an approach according to Sun on Sunday.

The fight for Ajax’s sensational Frenkie de Jong has intensified with Manchester City said to have beaten Barcelona to his signature. The 21-year old is viewed as a long-term heir apparent to Fernandinho. Tottenham and Barcelona have all along admired the Dutch midfielder as is reported by Sunday Mirror.
