Manchester United ace falls ill in the mid of a game

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof was taken off during Sweden’s  Nations League match against Turkey due to illness.

Sweden emerged victors after 1-0 win on away soil but their centre-back and Sweden Player of the Year was withdrawn at half-time as he did not feel well according to his coach Janne Andersson.

“Victor did not feel well but he finished the first half. Then Filip came on and did not make a mistake, so Filip played very well.” Andersson said.

“I think he felt a little worse before the match and felt a bit dizzy when he started. He felt drowsy and without energy and could not continue,” Lindelof’s captain and the scorer of the all-important goal Andreas Granqvist told SportExpressen newspaper.

Lindelof has been a regular choice for Jose Mourinho at centre-back alongside Chris Smalling this season after signing from Benfica in a deal that cost £31m in the summer of 2017 and has made 43 appearances for United across all competitions.
