House Helps versus day care,which is the way to go?

Kenyans have watched unfolding horror stories on TV as house helps and nannies abuse or even kidnap little children who are left in their care.
Its now advisable for working mothers with babies  to make use of day care centres to overcome challenges of hiring house-helps.

House helps in Kenya can be a lot of trouble with the  emerging trend where house-helps molest children or abandon them after parents have left for work is worrying, especially for mothers who work throughout the day.

A couple from Gatundu South constituency, Kiambu County, is in desperate search for a house help who allegedly vanished with their one-year-old daughter.

The house help identified as Mary Wambui Maina, went missing with the child on Saturday, November 17.

According to her employers, Dan Mwambia and Lydiah Mungai, the house help had been recruited to take care of their two children on Friday, November 16. Her terms of employment were set to be signed on the same day she went missing.

The house help who is now being treated as a suspect in the alleged kidnapping incident, has no known mobile phone contacts however she is only known as a native of Kamburaini village in Narumoro.

The couple has pleaded with members of the public to help them reunite with their daughter, Gianah Muthoni Mwambia. Anyone who has come into contact with Maina and the toddler has been requested to make a report to a police station. The kid’s parents can be contacted on 0723812672 or 0795158209.
