It was just pure bad luck, Steven Gerrard has spoken about the slip that denied Liverpool title in 2014.
Gerrard slipped and lost the ball in his own half to allow Demba Ba race towards Liverpool goal. Ba scored and Willian doubled Chelsea’s lead and that automatically ended The Reds title hopes.
“What happened was just pure bad luck but, when you do a book or film, especially with people who have won Oscars and made films such as Amy (the biopic of the late Amy Winehouse) and Senna, you must be as honest and open as you can,” Gerrard told the Daily Mail.
Gerrard, who is currently Rangers manager, was struggling with a back problem at the time and needed to get an epidural injection to manage the pain.
