A few days after blaming California for its devastating wildfires and threatening to cut federal funding, President Donald Trump has today announced that he has approved a major disaster declaration for California. Really?
While the president drew criticism for failing to acknowledge those killed in the deadly blazes in an earlier tweet, some thought it was “a little late for these scripted condolences”

From the tweets, it’s obvious that President Trump’s message of ‘good will’ has been received by a lot of criticism as Trump was blasted and branded a “hypocrite” who waited until 44 people were dead before approving a request from Governor Jerry Brown (D) to declare the California wildfire a major disaster.
The Northern California inferno became the deadliest wildfire in the state’s modern history when officials said they had discovered the remains of 13 more people, bringing the death toll to 42. The fire, which continues to rage in the hills and ravines east of the city of Chico, is also the most destructive fire in California history, with more than 7,100 structures destroyed, most of them homes.
