Ruto Exposed: The Big Lie that Ruto Told and Kenyans Bought

Do you remember when Kenya was stripped of the rights to host the African Nations Championships? Well, i bet you do. The main reason for loosing the hosting rights was because we have no state of the art stadiums that conform to the FIFA set rules and regulations.

The Jubilee administration will obviously bear a huge part of the blame for reneging on its promise to build the five stadia, a pledge it made in 2013 when it clinched power.

This pledge was made by the deputy President William Ruto who was so vocal in pushing the Stadium Agenda.

Years later, the said Stadiums are no where to be seen. Infact, construction of some of them has not even commenced. So, does it mean that the deputy President and in larger part the Jubilee government lied to us?

According to Ruto, in 6 months time there would be a stadium in Wote, In  3months another Stadium in Chuka, In 2months a stadium in Moyale and in 6 months a stadium in Kamariny.

West Pokot residents  were the first to be disappointed by the Jubilee administration for “peddling lies” about projects in the county.

They said they were not aware and have not seen the stadium Deputy President William Ruto said is under construction.

“As we talk today, I know many people are saying we made pre-election promises in 2013 that we have not actualised,” he said.

“But in six months’ time, the stadium in Wote will be complete, in three month’s time the stadium in Chuka will be complete, in three month’s time the stadium in Moyale will be complete and in six month’s time the stadium in Kamariny, West Pokot, will be complete.” said Ruto when the Jubilee government was seeking re-election for a second term.

Kenyans have now come out to remind the deputy President of his administration’s promises and the fact that they haven’t been met.

Do you think it’s time we stopped believing our politicians?
