Has Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen ditched his master William Ruto? Or was he just trying to comfort Wiper Leader kalonzo Musyoka.
It is said that to build an army, you start with one loyal soldier. And Murkomen is that loyal soldier in William Ruto’s army. Of course we have other important lieutenants in this army like National assembly majority leader Aden Duale.
But we can say Murkomen is the most important soldier in the deputy president’s army. His loyalty to his master is unquestionable and he doesn’t have presidential ambitions. At least not at the moment. He is also a lawyer, even though you can’t put him in the same brackets like let’s say James Orengo.
You know every presidential candidate in Kenya needs a good lawyer, a person who believes in you and can die for you if needed.
So the country was surprised when Kipchumba Murkomen told Kalonzo Musyoka that his journey to the State House is not over.
‘Kalonzo’s journey is not over,’ Murkomen said during the burial of Kalonzo’s father Mzee Peter Musyoka. The mourners, whom the majority were Kamba’s applauded Murkomen.
The Senate Majority leader and Elgeyo Marakwet senator added that every Kenyan, regardless of which part of Kenya they come from, can lead the country.
So has Murkomen ditched his master or was he just trying to comfort a bereaved Kalonzo Musyoka?
At Tseikuru who is who in Kenya’s politics gathered to send off Kalonzo Musyoka’s father Peter Musyoka, 94. Many remembered the old man as a man who mentored his son, Kalonzo, to be obedient, humble and loyal.
Others present were Amani leader Musalia Mudavadi and Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa. Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana said the Handshake unity deal is meant to help all Kenyans and foster growth. But in a rejoinder, he was quick to add, “He who thinks will be named may not be named.”
His statement was in regard to Uhuru’s declaration that his 2022 pick may be a shocker. Meanwhile, Senate Minority whip Mutula Kilonzo Jr thanked Uhuru and Raila, lauding them for showing unity. Mutula urged Uhuru to issue stern orders to arrest culprits who impregnate underage girls.
