For the longest time Kenyans have been complaining about the gaps and cracks in the judicial system and after an investigative piece of Mugo Wairimu surfaced, the judiciary is again on the receiving end for letting a man who poses a threat to the lives of Kenyans walk free.
Three years ago, the misleading doctor who was accused of raping a patient at his Githurai 44 clinic was freed on bond. Mr Mugo was charged with rape and 11 other counts including operating a clinic illegally.
However, he was released by the Nairobi Magistrates’ Court after Chief Magistrate Daniel Ogembo said the prosecution had failed to provide compelling reasons for denial of bail.
I contacted my lawyer friends, and went to court; whereof I was charged with hatespeech. The media branded me a “controversial blogger”. Splashed me on TV. Mugo wa Wairimu was one of the witnesses who had recorded statements with NCIC to have me arrested. 3/

Three years later, Mugo is still operating without any legal documents under the disguise of Millan Health International Limited.
Mugo says he completed his studies as a nurse at UoN in the year 2000 but the manner in which he operates his clinic is portrayed as unprofessional and suspicious.
Besides his 2015 case on the rape allegations and running an unlicensed clinic, Mugo faced fraud charges at the Milimani law courts and his case is said to be pending.
The question that most have been asking is how Mugo Wairimu is still roaming free, abusing drugs at a clinic procuring unsafe abortions and generally endangering the lives of patients?
In the expose video, Wairimu is alleged to be in possession of HIV/ Syphilis testing Kits that are labeled ‘Government of Kenya’; not for sale but the man has been doing business.
At what point do the health regulatory institutions come in play? Who has been supplying him with drugs and the other medical testing kits? These are some of the questions that Kenyans demand answers for.
We are Urging the Nursing council of Kenya to move in swiftly and suspend Mugo wa Wairimu’s licence if at all he is a trained Nurse. He should also be charged in a court of Law for endangering the lives of his patients. @NCKenya @ntvkenya #QuackClinic pic.twitter.com/HTxK1vArKH
