The Battle of Williams: Kabogo’s Shocking Message to “Hustler” Ruto

William Ruto’s political future seem to hang in the balance as the days go by with numerous attacks from different quarters every now and then.

Questions have been asked on whether President Kenyatta will honor the deal he struck with William Ruto. The President on Thursday during a visit to Nyeri said that his pick for the presidency will shock some of us. Who is his choice? Why will his apparent choice shock us? Well, only time will tell.

Cracks seem to have already emerged within the Jubilee camp especially among Mps from the Mount Kenya Region. Some leaders are for the deputy president while others want the region to forge a new political alliance all together.

Nominated senator Isaac Mwaura had earlier hinted that the Mount Kenya region will not support any deal they feel will oppress the people from the area.

Various politicians from the central region like former Kiambu governor William Kabogo and Peter Kenneth have been rumoured to be eyeing the top seat too. Outspoken Gatundu south MP Moses Kuria has also revealed that he will be on the ballot come 2022. Should this worry the deputy president?

Kabogo took some time off his apparent busy schedule to offer some political advice to his namesake William Ruto.

According to Kabogo, Ruto should stop dreaming about ever ascending to the country’s top most seat if the previous happenings in the country are anything to go by. Kabogo say’s that only Moi rose to power from within by climbing to the ranks of President when he succeeded the late Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and that no other politician has ever rose to the Presidency from within.

“During change of guard (after completion of the term of a sitting president the incoming president must come from outside to get to power. To climb to power from within(VP/DP) happened only once when Mzee Moi succeeded Hayati Mzee Jomo Kenyatta. Hustler think!,” said Kabogo.

The apparent onslaught from Mount Kenya is one which will not end anytime soon and the deputy President should come up with ways to repel the attacks.

Seasoned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has of late changed his political tone. He is known to be a man that does’t just speak without having facts. He pin pointed that William Ruto might be campaigning for a position that will not exist come 2022. He has also indicated earlier that he supports the calls fro referendum, calls that the deputy president and his team don’t want to get answered. Ruto has in the past publicly opposed the push to change the constitution terming a burden to Kenyans and a distraction from development.

Is Kabogo Justified to make the above claims?
