Late Migori County Senator Ben Oluoch succumbed to throat cancer earlier this year on June 19th 2018
The first time Senator was popularly known as BOO among his radio fans and worked at KBC before moving to Royal Media’s Ramogi FM.
He replaced Dr Wilfred Machage on an ODM ticket after his predecessor chose to vie for the Kuria West parliamentary seat.
Wangari Maathai
A Political activist and a Nobel Peace Prize winner. she was a renowned Kenyan environmental. She died of Ovarian Cancer.
She died at the age of 71.
Francis Nyenze
Francis Mwanzia Nyenze was a Kenyan politician who served as Member of Parliament for Kitui West Constituency from 1997-2002 and again from 2013-2017.
He served as Minister for Environment from 1997 until 2001 and Minister for Heritage and Sports from 2001 to 2002.
He died last year after a battle with colon cancer. a disease he had resiliently fought for close to a decade
Janet Kanini
She was a famous NTV Presenter who died last year after battling with Lung Cancer.
Ms Kanini left the country in September 2015 for treatment in India where she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
She was 38 when she died.
