Why a gospel singer would want to paint an image of being a hot cake is the question in Kenyan minds when Jimmy gait decided to leave fans wondering whether he has switched to acting after he posted a video of three ladies fighting to be his wife after initially trying to propose to one.
In the clip the ‘Huratiti’ hitmaker has elicited mixed reactions as to its purpose with some claiming that it was a scripted stunt by the musician while to others, the clip was a promo for a new song.

The video begins by showing Gait gifting one lady identified as Nadia with a bouquet of flowers before going down on one knee to propose.
“Babe, today I have a surprise for you. Unajua tumekuwa tuki-go for long. So, I decided to do something special,” said Gait, as he went down on one knee.
The lady, seemingly disinterested shrugged off Gait’s action saying she was not ready for marriage.
“What are you trying to do? No, please. I hope it is not what I am thinking. We talked about this, and I told you to give me more time. I am not ready for marriage right now. Not now, not now, please,” said the lady.
A persistent Gait goes on…
“Please marry me,” replied Jimmy Gait, before Nadia’s friend – who was seated while watching the events unfold –, interjected, saying: “Am I hearing you right, Nadia? You are turning him down after everything he did for you?”
But the drama gets even juicier as the other woman asks him to marry her instead.
While the two ladies argued on who deserved Gait more than the other, another lady walked into the room and inquired what the musician was doing with the two women, and why they were fighting over him.
After learning why Nadia and her friend had fallen out, the new entrant told the artiste: “Jimmy, if I won’t be your wife, I won’t allow you to marry any other woman.”
This comes just days after a woman interrupted Jimmy Gait on set during an interview with comedian Chipukeezy. She openly professed love for the singer claiming that he was snubbing her.
