Time out for rogue matatus : Seven De-registered

 

Transport is expected to be parallelized in some parts of Nairobi after the National Transport and Safety Authority revoked license of seven Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operators for faulting transport rules and regulations.

This follows a series of accidents on Kenyan roads that has claimed thousands of lives.

Those de -registered include ; Hannover Commercial Enterprise operating in Kikuyu, Waiyaki Way, Westlands, Kasarani, Mwiki route, Newlot Sacco operating in Nairobi, Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Kibwezi, Voi, Mombasa route and and Peja Travellers Ltd operating in Jericho, Maringo, Jogoo Road and Temple Road.

 

Also suspended  include the Molo shuttle Sacco operating in Nairobi, Nakuru and Kisii route, Nairobi Kiruline Services operating in Nairobi, Murang’a, Othaya, Nyeri, Nyahururu route, Gakanago Sacco operating in Nyeri, Gataragwa and Ngobit ,New Lowland Sacco operating in Nakuru, Marigat, Kabarnet route .

“Following the violation of provisions of section 5(1) of the Natioanal Transport and Safety Authority (operation of PSV) regulations 2014, the (above) seven Transport Operators were deregistered from operating with effect from September 13, 2018,” read the statement in part.

You guys have lost it, let enforcement be carried out by others, instead of this PR exercise this list should be accompanied by offending vehicles registration so that everyone feels the pinch, hivi they move to other SACCOs
