5 year old boy rescued from violent kidnapper

A boy aged five years who had been reported kidnapped, was today afternoon rescued after a one month painstaking search by Detectives. The child was found in a house within Thika Town and is currently in safe hands.

Cases of children being kidnapped are on the rise and the office of the DCI is dealing with the cases as it should be although Kenyans have said that more can be done. For the past week you have probably seen a couple posters doing rounds on social media announcing of missing children.

Parents are at this time advised to make sure that their children are safe and also monitor the activities that they engage in. It also calls for responsibility and commitment by parents to prioritize on the safety of their children.

The office of the DCI revealed that in the course of the the rescue, the criminal put a spirited fight using crude weapons and with a sharp machete cut a firearm as he lunged to injure one of the rescue police officers, forcing the officers to respond; fatally injuring him.Two IDs bearing different names were found.

Kenyans have reacted saying that the boy is so lucky since children are kidnapped within the Thika town almost on a daily basis yet their disappearance remains a mystery.
