Kenya Film Classification Board CEO, Ezekiel Mutua has today defended Quest’s visit to the Jubilee Christian Church.

This came after Kenyans online criticized the Kiunas for hosting the news anchor who had earlier this week revealed the nature of his sexual orientation.

Kenyans had earlier shared their views thinking that it was inappropriate for the Kiuna’s to host the CNN news anchor.

Gay critics were quick to question the church’s stand on homosexuality wondering how she could allow a Quest to stand in a sanctified place in her church.

This is one of the big churches known in the country since it  has experienced mammoth growth, with over 8000 members and church branches both local and international.

The mission of the JCC church is to teach, train & equip believers with the word of faith so believers can live a victorious life.

After the church service, Quest was expected to interview Rev Kathy Kiuna in regard to her women ministry ‘Daughters Of Zion’

In a long post, Ezekiel Mutua silenced Kenyans by saying that the KFCB gave him and his crew the license to carry out their agenda because they trusted his ability of professionalism.

Mutua also added that Quest’s visit to church was not to spread the gayism ideology but to carry out his role to gather a newsworthy story from the Kiunas who have been of positive impact to the country.

“Quest may be gay, but he is a top notch journalist who can sense newsworthy stories with unique angles. The Kenya Film Classification Board cleared him and provided gratis licenses for his entire crew because we trusted in his professional ability to highlight the real stories about Kenya and her people.

His sexual orientation has nothing to do with his work. Let him be. Let the Kiunas be. Quest was not in church to sell gay ideology. He was there to cover a story of resilience and hope. He chose to highlight variant topics of hope and determination and that is a good thing.” reads post in part
