Well the controversial gospel star Willy Paul has been collaborating with secular artistes not only in Kenya but also with the Jamaican artist his recent collaboration with Jamaican musician Samantha J, famed for her 2013 hit song ‘Tight Skirt’as faced criticisms.
Papa Dennis a gospel artist who is known for his flashy life style has done collabo with sultry Jamaican songbird Cecile dubbed “I am blessed”.
Many may wonder how they met well Papa Dennis revealed in an interview in a local radio station that his manager reached out to Cecile’s manager and they recorded the new song separately in Kenya and in Jamaica.
“My managers connected me with her managers and we did the song. She recorded her verse from there and I did mine here, and the beat of the song is by Sappy,” said Papa Dennis.
“It was not easy, but I thank God. I believe it was his perfect timing upon my life, something I cannot simply overlook,” Denis points out.
Meeting Sadat Muhindi gave him an opportunity to record his first single Ameshinda vita. While it may not have received as much airplay as he hoped for, Papa denis stayed consistent and went.
He won the Best Male Artist Award at Mwafaka 2015 he has been winning awars after awards this year he won AFRIMA awards as the best gospel artist of the year.
