CNN’s lively presenter to go live from Kenya

Richard Quest, CNN’s foremost international business correspondent and presenter of Quest Means Business is expected in Kenya ahead of Kenya airways  inaugural flight to the US.

Quest Means Business, which airs weekdays at 1600ET/2200CET on CNN International, destroys the myth that business is boring, bridging the gap between hard economics and entertaining television.

 

Quest was on board Singapore Airlines’ record-breaking inaugural world’s longest passenger flight from Singapore to New York for more than 17 hours in the air.

During this 16,700 kilometer journey into the history books, Richard Quest was  live reporting his experiences.

 

Richard Quest went live to document on one of a new breed of aircraft that will shape the future of long haul travel.

As a business travel specialist, Quest has become a voice of authority on subjects like the launch of the Airbus A380.

The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) awarded Richard Quest the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award for his reporting on the travel business.

The first direct flight from Nairobi to New York will depart from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) on October 28, 2018.
About 7,000 travellers have booked seats on Kenya Airways’ direct flights to New York ahead of the October inaugural journey.

The US government has finally granted JKIA Last Point of Departure status which allows the airport to facilitate direct flights between Kenya and the United States of America.

 

The bookings are spread across the year starting October 28 when the first ever direct commercial flight from Nairobi to New York will take off.

Kenya Airways’ sales director, Julius Thairu, in an interview, said the inaugural flight alone is already more than 80 per cent full.
